1. Acceptance
By using ARES, you agree to these Terms. Creating an account requires affirmative acceptance of the current Terms, acknowledgement of the current Privacy Policy, and confirmation that you meet the minimum age requirement. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use restricted features.
2. What ARES provides
ARES is a football market-intelligence product that organizes data, modeled scores, rankings, movement signals, reports, and research tools. Public and premium surfaces may have different data depth, update schedules, confidence levels, and entitlements.
ARES may label records as live, current, historical, open-source, limited coverage, stale, unavailable, failed refresh, or public-beta demo. Seeded or public-beta data must not be treated as verified live football information.
3. Scores, rankings, and valuation limitations
ARES Score is an analytical estimate of on-field performance under the published methodology. Market Score is an analytical estimate of football-asset strength. Market Score is not a transfer fee, asking price, sale price, accounting value, and is not an official valuation.
Scores and rankings depend on source coverage, formula version, normalization cohort, sample size, league context, recency, and confidence. They can change when data, corrections, formulas, or context change.
ARES does not guarantee a player’s future performance, transfer outcome, employment, contract, availability, injury status, club fit, development path, or commercial value.
4. No professional relationship or guarantee
ARES does not provide financial advice, investment advice, betting advice, legal advice, medical advice, employment advice, licensed agency services, representation, or a substitute for professional scouting. Use ARES as one research input and apply independent judgment, live observation, medical review, contractual due diligence, and qualified professional advice where appropriate.
Using the service does not create a scout-player, club-player, agent-player, adviser-client, employer-employee, fiduciary, partnership, or joint-venture relationship.
5. Accounts and security
- Provide a valid email address you control.
- Do not share passwordless sign-in codes or session access.
- Keep profile information and alert settings accurate.
- Notify ARES through the legal request channel if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Do not evade rate limits, entitlement controls, or security boundaries.
ARES may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, data rights, providers, the service, or legal obligations.
6. Alerts and newsletter communications
Account alerts are controlled through account preferences. Newsletter signup requires separate explicit consent and does not create an account or paid plan. ARES prepares opted-in addresses for its Substack publication; Substack handles newsletter delivery and subscriber-facing unsubscribe controls.
Delivery may be delayed, filtered, bounced, or unavailable. ARES does not guarantee that an alert or newsletter will arrive before a football event, transfer, price movement, or decision.
7. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, private modules, administrative routes, D1, R2, Workers, or provider systems.
- Scrape, harvest, mirror, republish, resell, or bulk extract ARES data or content except through an expressly authorized agreement or interface.
- Remove provenance, attribution, rights, confidence, freshness, or public-beta labels.
- Use automated access in a way that degrades service or bypasses rate limits.
- Upload malicious code, impersonate another person, or submit false legal requests.
- Use ARES to make unlawful discriminatory employment, academy, or player-selection decisions.
- Represent an ARES signal as an official club, league, federation, player, provider, or transfer-market statement.
8. Intellectual property, data, and images
ARES owns or licenses its brand, original interface, original written analysis, formula documentation, generated assets, and software. Football facts may come from multiple governed sources and may not be owned by ARES. Player names, club names, competition names, trademarks, photographs, badges, and marks may belong to their respective rights holders.
Reuse rights depend on the underlying asset and source. Review the Data and Image Rights Disclosure and Image Credits. ARES does not grant rights it does not possess.
9. Corrections and source disputes
Football data can be revised, delayed, incomplete, inconsistent, or mapped incorrectly. Submit factual corrections, identity conflicts, image-rights concerns, copyright notices, or source disputes through the legal request channel. ARES may preserve prior versions and correction history for auditability.
10. Availability and changes
ARES may add, remove, limit, pause, or change features, sources, formulas, coverage, entitlements, and interfaces. Maintenance, provider failure, rights restrictions, security events, or operational limits may interrupt access. No service-level guarantee applies unless a separate written institutional agreement says otherwise.
11. Billing status
Production billing is currently disabled. Displayed premium or institutional architecture does not itself create a payment obligation. Paid plans, trials, refunds, taxes, proration, and cancellation rules will require separate activation and updated commercial terms before live charging begins.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
ARES is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, ARES disclaims implied warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and outcome.
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, ARES will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits; lost opportunities; sporting decisions; transfer decisions; employment decisions; scouting decisions; or reliance on a score, ranking, alert, report, or unavailable service. Mandatory legal rights are not excluded.
13. Age requirements
ARES is not directed to children under 13. A person under 13 must not create an account, subscribe, or submit personal information. A higher minimum age may apply under local law. Institutional users are responsible for lawful handling of information involving academy players and other minors.
14. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes may be brought before a court or authority with lawful jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer, privacy, employment, or other protections that cannot be waived. A separate institutional agreement may specify additional terms.
15. Changes to these Terms
ARES records Terms versions and effective dates in the policy register. Material changes may be announced through a site notice and may require renewed account acceptance before continued restricted-feature access.
16. Contact
Use the ARES legal request channel for Terms questions, privacy requests, data corrections, image rights, copyright, or account concerns.
